About the room

I am looking for a short-term (1-3 months) roommate to share 1/1 of my 2/2 at Cortland Riverplace Apartment Homes in NW Austin. Rent includes all utilities, high speed internet, monthly professional cleaning and valet trash.

The apartment overlooks the Balcones Canyonlands and is on the second floor of a 2 story building, so it’s great if you like quiet and nature (I do!). Ample parking, W/D in the unit, large kitchen and big garden bath tub. The property has 2 saltwater pools, a hot tub, a great gym, gas grills, hiking trails, a dog wash station and firepit.

You will have the master bedroom, which is large, with 3 large windows, ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. The space is big enough for a couple and very spacious for a single person. These pictures are a bit outdated from when my last roommate was here, so there is less stuff at the moment. About the roomies

I am a 40 year old Therapist, and I have an incredibly sweet and well-behaved dog named Milo. He is 13 lbs, very quiet and bothers no one. Just steals your heart. 😊 I work from home mainly at the moment, and do a bit of cooking. I love hiking, yoga, and spending time with friends. I am passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, the environment and social justice. I am generally quiet besides when I’m cleaning/cooking and typically sleep from 11p-7a.

My ideal renter prefers to live quietly and works outside the house. I am conducting virtual Therapy sessions in my room most days, so I need someone who can be understanding and considerate of that if you are home while I’m working. Also someone who is respectful of needing space to be separate as well as interacting, and likes to have a weekly check-in about how things are going.

I prefer someone who is a thorough cleaner in the kitchen. I will have an agreement that we can both contribute to and a potential renter will need to be on board with the terms we agree to, as well as passing a background check with the office here at the apt. complex.
