The House: older, comfortable, with lots of new updates (new furnace, gas heater, new appliances, roof, new 2nd story windows), as our landlord is super responsive. There are 3 beds and a full bath upstairs and 1 bed and bath downstairs. Corner lot house so the yard is smaller but there are some beds for plants, and a streetside basement entrance for bikes. Location wise we are on a bike route, close to buses, and about 10 min walk to yellow line Max, mississippi ave, and alberta ave.

The Room: 2nd story, carpeted, two big windows. It’s a smaller room, with a built-in closet space. There is a lot of storage around the house and you’re more than welcome to set up a desk area/use more common space, as the room is a little small for living and working. You’d mainly share the upstairs bath with 1 other tidy person.

The Financials: rent is $575 a month, and utilities usually run about $50/mo but are variable with the weather. We are resigning our yearly lease and would like to include you in that. Our landlord requires first and last month’s rent at time of move in, and your deposit of $250 will be issued to our outgoing roommate. So total move-in costs are $1400 (aside from application fee of $20-$40).

We are 3 humans aged 26-32 (2m (he/him, 1f she/her) and 1 resident feline. We’ve been renting this house going on 5 years and on great terms with our landlord. We run on different schedules but like to grab dinner or play a game together once in a while. Generally a quiet crew and house, and we’d like to keep the space pretty low key in that regard.

You are able to sign a 1 year lease. Have a stable income. Are able to come and see the house in person. Are able to communicate clearly and aren’t afraid to ask questions. Are respectful of others’ privacy/boundaries. Are accepting of others lifestyles, genders, sexuality, religions, and personal choices. Are accepting of science forward action in regards to Covid 19 (vaccines, masking when/if needed). 420 friendly.
