About the room

🌈🌈🌈 Shared room spaces in radical queer co-op in south Boulder available in February 🌈🌈🌈 Some of our Beautiful Beets are moving on to take root in other gardens, and we are looking for some more beautiful souls to try and fill their shoes. ALL SPACES ARE SHARED ROOMS IN A QUEER, ANARCHIST, INDEPENDENT CO-OP. *** THERE IS A SURVEY YOU MUST FILL OUT TO APPLY. PLEASE ACTUALLY READ THE AD AND MESSAGE THIS PAGE TO GET THE LINK *** πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯• πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯• The BEET Collective πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•is an independent housing cooperative located in South Boulder. Some of our roommates are moving out this month and we are looking for some new people to help shape our vibrant community! Some of our interests as a community (things we strive for) include community engagement, social and restorative justice, anarchism, activism, inclusion, sustainable living. Our home is a safe and queer-friendly space. More about us: 🏘 tri-level home with a common area on each floor, no private bathroom & all rooms are shared πŸ‘πŸ‘Ž established cooperative using consensus-based processes 🚎 located in South Boulder with plenty of public transport options less than 3 blocks away 🧺 within walking distance of grocery, pharmacy, etc. πŸ₯ we currently have 2 chickens, 2 cats, and a doggy (if you have a pet, we need to approve them and you’ll have to pay $25/month more) 🌿 we have a large backyard/garden area for our chickens and small dog friends πŸ’Έ shared rooms go for between $424 and $509/month; we also share a bulk food order that is included in the cost of rent. Utilities included, too. πŸ—’ there are simple, well-thought-out systems in place to delegate tasks like chores and projects, as well as to structure other happenings like bulk food purchases and guest visits πŸ’¬ all systems can be discussed, questioned, challenged and reformed at our weekly meetings πŸŒ„ by the way, weekly meetings are a required part of membership and they are currently scheduled for Thursdays from 7-9pm… this is where all the critical and rewarding work of living in community begins πŸ’– πŸ§ΉπŸ›  we expect 4-6 hours a week of chore time from each member… everyone does their part!

It’s always Beet season here.

About the roomies

The vision is to create a fun space that allows members to support and inspire each other, freely letting each other know what we need and working to meet each other’s needs. If you’re unconvinced we’ll close by saying that cooperative living is wonderful! There are environmental benefits to sharing resources, and social benefits to being around so many amazing, aware people. You will learn relational, organizational and leadership skills… and so, so, so much more. Ready to move in? Here’s what you should do:

  1. IMPORTANT!!! : Message this page to get the link to a survey, and fill it out!
  2. Send us a message again to let us know you finished applying
  3. As a community, we will review your answers and invite you over for dinner if we feel you might be a good fit.
  4. We will vote to invite you back for a formal interview during our weekly meeting. If interviewed, you will be asked a series of questions. This usually takes about 30 minutes. After your interview, we will vote to offer you a spot in our home. We will be in communication with you through the whole process, even if we decide against moving forward.
