Single room available in three bedroom house. Ranch style home in historic district near lake Saint Clair. The room is fully furnished or can be cleared out depending on your needs. The bathroom is shared but there is another full bathroom in the basement for anytime the upstairs bathroom is in use. The house is modern and clean with dishwasher, gas stove, and fully working appliances. There is a very comfortable sized backyard with a grill and I have a gym in the basement. (Peloton, Tempo, free weights, resistance bands and a weight lifting machine) The full rent covers all utilities, internet, grass and snow removal, personal memberships to the fitness equipment, and I’m considering adding in a maid service if you’re interested in splitting the cost there. There is driveway parking for one car, ring cameras on the front and back door and the neighborhood is very safe. Your room has a closet in it and you will have access to storage in the basement + garage so long as I can keep my car in the garage when I’m gone which will give you two parking spaces in the driveway. Any additional furniture outside of what will go in your bedroom will have to be discussed.

I’m a 32 year old gay man looking for a professional/student to live with who is clean and easy going. I sleep in the master bedroom and occupy the office space during the day while working from home. However, I do travel a bunch for business so you will have the whole house to yourself for up to a month or more at times. This is my first home which I purchased from family after living in LA for 12 years. Didn’t really plan on living back here in Detroit (hence all the travel) so having someone around to look after the house is my main focus while also offering a comfortable place for someone to call home. :)

I’m pretty active, workout almost every other day, and am happy to enjoy TV at night together, cooking together or can happily just give you your space. I will have a friend or two over from time to time (mostly to have a fire in the backyard) but would always let you know beforehand. Please respect me by doing the same. In all, respect is the biggest aspect of sharing a living space. After years of living with roommates in California, I’m very comfortable communicating clearly and coming to quick resolutions on any issue.
