About the room
My long-term roommate is moving out, and I’m looking for a new roommate to fill the empty bedroom in my 1,650-square-foot luxury apartment. Located at the Verve Apartments on El Camino Real, the building is just six minutes away from downtown Mountain View, 12 minutes from Stanford University, and close to popular tech employers, like Google.
It’s also 5 minutes away from Whole Foods, Safeway, Trader Joe’s, countless restaurants, and multiple Caltrain stations (but far enough away that train noise is not a problem). The gated community has a state-of-the-art gym, multiple game rooms, outdoor grills, and a resort-style swimming pool/hot tub. Parking is available in the underground lot, with a decent amount of guest spots, too.
The available room is 14’x12’6“ (about 175-square-foot) with high ceilings and a large, walk-in closet. The floor-to-ceiling window offers lots of natural sunlight and the double-paned glass is an excellent sound barrier. The adjacent bathroom is mostly private (I have an attached bathroom in the master suite) but may be used by houseguests from time to time.
While the room itself will be empty upon move-in, the public areas of the unit (living room, kitchen, etc.) are furnished. There’s in-unit washer/dryer, high-speed AT&T internet, and a gas range in the kitchen. We’ve also got a ping pong table in the apartment.
About the roomies
About me: I’m an early 30s male working at a startup in Mountain View. I work from home most days but my office is less than 5 minutes away so end up working from there once or twice a week. I also have a small dog who enjoys the public spaces in the apartment, so pet lovers are welcome (there’s an extremely convenient doggy day care place right at the front of the complex).
