Zara's room

This is a month-to-month lease for a private room available to move in by April 1st, through mid-August 2022, and ideally stay on lease long term beyond August. Rent is $817 including PG&E. Wifi is separate; additional $19. Security deposit requested for one month’s rent. The private room is unfurnished.

Landlord is approachable, friendly, and cares about the property. Flowers recently added outside the apartment, white entrance gate repainted, etc. You will see him around the property, he is present, and addresses any issues about the apartment (although having any issues is rare.)

In Elmwood neighborhood on Southside of Berkeley. Walking distance to UC Berkeley Campus, bus stop, shops, restaurants, Trader Joes, Safeway, Whole Foods. Hiking trails are close by and walking distance as well. Street Parking available. Private room, Shared bathroom with 2 other females, Living room space with TV, dining table, and outdoor patio.

Roommate A: I am 23 years old and a graduate from LINES Ballet BFA Program, class of 2020. I am currently dancing professionally full time M-F and teaching on Saturdays in Berkeley. I typically commute by bike and bus. When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, hiking and walking, working out, and downtime at home. I enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle. I am a non-smoker and I don’t drink regularly, just for special occasions socially. I am naturally introverted, but I value connecting with my roommates, as well as respecting alone time. I highly value contributing to a household through cleaning after myself and keeping tidy, organized community spaces.

Roommate B: I am a 22 year old French bioengineering student who recently moved to Berkeley for a 5 month internship, moving back to Paris mid-August after my internship ends. I am a really clean and well organized person. It is really important for me to respect people around me and I easily adapt to others. In my free time, I like to go running and play tennis. I also like to cook and want to spend a lot of time discovering the bay! I will spend every weekday at the lab.

Roommate C: I am a primary tenant currently out of town. I will be returning to the apartment mid-August. We are looking for someone to cover my time away, and potentially become a new long term tenant. I am a 3rd-year student at UC Berkeley.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a male or female-identifying in mid-20s, working professional or student, who is clean, organized, responsible, respectful, and a good communicator; Willing to participate in our chore schedule, take responsibility for cleaning after themself and keeping tidy, organized community spaces. Someone who is open to occasional roommate bonding activities, and can connect casually while at the apartment.
