Harriott House is a Eastside Historic Bed and Breakfast / Boarding House Styled personal home with 5 Bedrooms used for Traveling Guests. This unique home was built in 1920 as the “Show Home” Edgewood Grove subdivision. We choose to share the charms of this fully furnished home and guest stays include utilities, internet, security, and property maintenance. Also included are many essentials for relaxation and peaceful harmony with the surroundings: This home features many original hardwood built-in’s, hand laid antique tiles, a breezy enclosed front porch, a large wide galley style kitchen with sliding buffet kitchen access, a Kitchen Breakfast Nook, 3 available dining table areas for meals or work use, cards and board games, living room fireplace, large closets in long term stay rooms, an abundance of antique furniture and old world charm, high quality mattresses and high quality bedding purchased within the year, All this and Beautiful Walking / Running trails just outside the front door!

The space: Pleasant breezy enclosed large front porch area overlooking the stadium and fitness trails, bench style original built in kitchen seating, formal dining room area with original seating, living room fireplace and book nooks, spacious bedrooms and closets with historic beds and new mattresses, pleasant atmosphere of days gone by in which you can enjoy your evenings leisurely or catch up on some reading or writing ! Elegant living with modern conveniences !

Guest access: Guests have access to all shared living spaces; front porch, lockable bathrooms, kitchen, living room and formal dining room.

Terms: *No Lease required. *No shoes are worn in the home; there is a large locked enclosed porch where they may be left. *Please do not wash hair, grease, food, tampons, or other objects down our drains to maintain use of plumbing as it can take days to get a plumber and I will not pay for any hotel stay costs of guests or inconveniences caused by guest misuse, I can only refund guests for unused stay dates already paid by the guest in advance. *Guests are asked to leave money and valuables at their personal home, on their person, in their own locked car, or in a safe deposit box or account at a local bank, as I will not be held responsible for money or valuables that a guest may claim have become missing from their room as a result of their stay. Only the guest knows if they truly lost something or if they are claiming to have had something stolen. *Included in the price of each stay are basics and use of towels, furnishings, dishes, appliances, cleaning supplies, and household goods. Homeowner provides Security System, Internet Access, Routine Home Maintenance, Grounds Upkeep, and Utilities. *Guests are expected to clean up after themselves and to keep their personal hygiene items and belongings in their rooms or in appropriate cubbies in the bathrooms in order to avoid clutter in the shared spaces and to maintain the peaceful ambiance of the house that assures a pleasant experience for all guests ! Persons leaving messes for someone else to clean will be charged the cleaning fees per occurrence. Repeat offenders will be asked to terminate their stay without refund. *Intentional or Unintentional Violation of agreed upon basic house rules or mistreatment of other guests or of the property of the homeowner or other guests is terms for immediate eviction without refund, understood as agreed upon with payment of booking. Stays made through Furnished finder or through any other search engine are considered to be an agreement to these terms and to be legally binding as reasonable terms for an agreement to stay in the home. The homeowner or guest can terminate the agreement and it is accepted to be a mutual decision upon guest return of keys. Guests not returning keys will be charged and responsible for all daily charges until return of keys. Damages to the room and loss of use due to damages can be pursued by the homeowner and are the responsibility of the guest for replacement cost. We have not had this problem yet and are not looking forward to the day when someone causes intentional or careless and inconsiderate damages to our property. *There are cameras in the main areas, hallways, at entrances, and on property grounds for both guests’ and homeowners’ personal protection. Vdeo footage can and will be used to prosecute anyone to the full extent of the law found to be violating the personal rights or belongings of others or committing any crime in the home or on the property. *There are no cameras in bathrooms or bedrooms so there is no video surveillance and we cannot be held responsible for occurrences in areas not under surveillance. *Guns, weapons, illegal drugs, and other such items are not permitted on the property or in the home. Please leave such items at home or in your vehicle while traveling.

Just one block from the busline running between Rose Hulman Instutute of Technology and Indiana State University. Just minutes from all 5 local hospitals. All utility costs, home maintenance, security system, grounds maintenance, internet access included. NO ALLERGY TRIGGERING CARPETING OR PETS ARE PRESENT ON PREMESIS, THANK YOU! Have you rented to travel nurses before? Yes, our guests are primarily medical professionals traveling on 3 month contracts for extended monthly stays.

As a Registered Nurse for over 25 years who has worked travel assignments, home care, hospice care, skilled care, long-term care, case management, public health tracking and surveilliance, and administrative nursing, I sympathize and understand the needs of medical professionals in various situations. Have you rented to travel nurses before? I have had several Nurses and Medical Doctors rent rooms in both of my homes. Although this home is available as a bed and breakfast boarding house style option for medical professionals and other professionals of all backgrounds and genders, I also have a women’s residence located in another home where I raised my children; that home has semi-private sleeping rooms available. The women’s house rooms are less in price although they are less private overall. If you are a quiet professional woman who enjoys the security and peace of mind that comes from staying with only other professional women, just ask about visiting this other housing option during your stay at Harriott House.
