The complex is on a scenic wooded hill next to Lake Merced and surrounded by San Francisco Golf Club—about halfway between Daly City’s Westlake Shopping Center to the south and Stonestown Mall / SFSU to the north. Includes a decal for parking a car on-site, as well as access to recreation facilities including seasonally heated pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, fitness room, and clubhouse.

The bedroom is bright with a south-facing sliding glass door that opens onto a spacious shared balcony. The room is furnished, with high-end closet built-ins for efficient storage; more space is available in several shared closets. Tenant will have exclusive use of the full bathroom across a hall from their bedroom, which has a stand-up shower with sliding glass doors and additional storage areas. The complex is secured by a guard station at the entrance and is very quiet. Internet, water, and garbage utilities are included in rent.

The location offers an ideal mix of urban access, suburban comforts, and natural beauty. It avails easy car transit options into and out of the city via I-280, as well as biking into Daly City, Lakeshore, and Ingleside for shopping and dining. The 58 and 122 buses stop just outside the complex on Lake Merced Blvd, providing reliable access to the Muni M train via Stonestown/Lakeside/Winston and to BART. A short walk away, one can board the 58 Bus to reach the Daly City BART station or access Lake Merced’s western and northern shores, Fort Funston park, and lower Sunset.

I’m fairly new to San Francisco, but have been living in the greater Bay Area for a number years (mostly working toward my physics PhD at UC Santa Cruz). Now I work remotely as a research scientist in a techie field. I’m a big nerd when it comes to science and computers, a fan of movies, and into running, hiking, and occasional backpacking. I have a close group of friends who’ve migrated together to SF, and hope to host friends at the condo pretty regularly. Friends I’ve lived with would tell you I have lots of energy but also need big doses of alone time to unwind.

From a housemate, I’m looking for someone who’s excited about exploring the city (or an SF veteran with recommendations!) and will be open to talk and socialize sometimes while respecting needs for space and independence. I love dogs (might adopt one at some point)!
