I work the afternoon shift so I prefer my roomer have an opposite shift so u are either gone before I leave or gone when I return late eve.
I work outside of the home, so I expect YOU to work outside of the home or it is a definite deal breaker! Bedroom is furnished with a bed and dresser. Desk and chair optional. Cabinet also provided in room for pantry type food storage. No food pantry space in kitchen, sorry. Mattress cover and linens are provided. Room includes a fair sized closet, a ceiling fan and 2 big windows with darkening vertical blinds, nice room ac (in the window) with a remote. Hallway bath/laundry room is right around the corner. Large Hallway bathroom will be yours to use. Laundry machines are within the this bathroom and will be shared between the 2 of us only. Looking for a roomer who only requires light kitchen use, like microwave, toaster and stove top. No oven (I’m not cleaning that thing anymore!) Shelving in fridge and freezer provided as well. There is limited parking so only one vehicle driveway space is available. Requirements: Must be a NON smoker: no vaping, no e-cigging, no cigarettes, no weed, nothing inhaled and exhaled except Earth’s oxygen. I am allergic so please don’t contact me even if u are an outside smoker. That is rude. I work the afternoon shift at a high stress post office so I absolutely need someone with consideration to my sleep schedule which is why a day or overnight shifter is a requirement. No guests, no drugs, no drunks, no smokers! No animals! My dog has recently passed so I am not in the mood to have another beastie in my house. I do background checks BEFORE anyone moves in- no exceptions at no extra cost. $300 hold /security deposit required. You are a stranger inside of my home with my stuff. Deposit is a small insurance. It is also used as a hold deposit so if u commit, I’m going to hold u to it!! I write receipts for everything and u will sign an agreement. Safety net for both of us!! No other common areas. No storage space, no outside/patio, no tree to park a bike. Furnished room with utilities included. Internet is offered free as a courtesy. This is a 1950’s house so do not expect an updated dwelling. Nice neighborhood, 5 mins to the hospital (SMH), downtown, and the beach (north bridge to siesta key).
I’ve lived in this house/neighborhood since 2009 and in Sarasota all my life (born here) so I’ve seen it all. I’m not a social bug, I work a lot and gone alot and I like my down time when I am home. Texting is best. Oh and house is all tile throughout.

I work afternoon shift at the big post office by the airport so I tend to sleep to mid day.. I also part own/manage 2 other properties with rooms so I stay really busy and I am generally gone every weekend.
