Terena's room

I have an upstairs bedroom in my home available for rent to a responsible, clean and courteous adult who is employed full-time outside the home. I will NOT accept anyone who is a smoker or vapes, uses drugs, abuses the consumption of alcohol, has a criminal background, or who is allergic to or dislikes cats or dogs. The room is adjacent to a loft area, has a small ceiling fan, two windows and closet with mirrored doors. You will have access to the bathroom upstairs mostly to yourself, however if I have guests staying over they will share that bathroom with you. Applicants must be willing to provide rental references, proof of employment and a clear criminal background report. I would prefer renting to a female. No overnight guests will be permitted and no additional storage is available. Rent is $600.00 per month plus a portion of utilities (water, gas, electricity and cable/internet if additional box or bandwidth is needed). First month’s rent and security deposit due at move-in. If needed I can offer the room partially furnished (as photographed) with queen sized bed and nightstand(s).

We are hardworking professionals. My fiancé works long days outside the home and I work exclusively from home. We have outdoor hobbies and enjoy social activities, but we are also low-key individuals. We have a peaceful and clean living environment and would expect the same from a renter. We don’t want a roommate to bring drama in our home. We have a diva cat and a small bossy dog so unfortunately we cannot rent to someone with pets. Our neighborhood is quiet, near green space parks and is within walking distance to Walmart, SaveMart, TW Patterson Sports Complex and Hammond Senior Center. The I-5 is about 2 mi away. We are family oriented individuals who will from time-to-time have family over for dinner, holidays or other celebrations, but overall we live a quiet lifestyle.
