About the room
This apartment is located in Woodburn Village. It’s a quiet, safe, and comforting area. There is a pool, basketball courts, picnic areas, walking paths, etc. on the property. It is about a 10 minute drive to Mosaic and also a 10 minute drive to Tysons/McLean. It takes about 10-20 minutes to drive to any part of Fairfax (depending on where you are going). The room itself is unfurnished, but all common areas are already taken care of. Looking for a 6 month lease at least (longer is definitely welcome), but willing to discuss subletting if the room is not needed for that long.
Unfortunately, while there is parking available it does tend to be a hassle. If you have a vehicle, you can purchase a parking pass from the office.
I unfortunately don’t have a picture of the available room itself out of respect for my roommate’s space, but it is a carpeted 11x11 room with a larger closet that spans the length of the wall with the door. Wall decor is totally fine, I just ask that there are no big holes left when they’re taken down (so small nails, tacks, and command hooks/strips preferred to hang things)!
About the roomies
I am a very go with the flow type of person. I spend about half of my time at home and the other half at work. I like to hang out with people but also enjoy quiet time to myself. I love eating, watching movies, going out on adventures, and even just sitting down and reading a book. There is another girl in the apartment who is very similar to me in this list of things:) Though there is a dog and a cat in some of the pictures, the cat lives here and the dog is only an occasional guest.
We tend to be fairly particular (not extreme or difficult to handle by any means) about the look of the condo and organization, specifically the kitchen and living room (any common areas), so we prefer to room with someone who can keep common spaces clean, even if their personal space may not be. We do have a chores list that gets rotated though every 1-2 weeks in order to keep the apartment looking nice and comfortable for everyone. We do have guests over from time to time, but always make sure to let the others know at least a little bit ahead of time and ask the same from our future roommate!
