Private room in a 2-bedroom/1-bath apartment in the vibrant south side of Williamsburg. Available July 1st. Looking for a long-term roommate for this lease year. Can move in a bit earlier than July 1st, but we will be doing some clean up after my roommate moves out mid June. We had a great three year run!
ABOUT THE SPACE: This newly renovated apartment is only 4 blocks away from MARCY JMZ and a short walk to BEDFORD L or BROADWAY G. Minutes away from Manhattan! The room is approx 10x10 and has great natural light with two big windows and a good-sized closet. Though we are on the first floor, the building does have an elevator and roof access. The main room and common areas are furnished and cozy with a great kitchen, breakfast nook, and some actual storage space! Laundromat is only two blocks away or a wash-n-fold/dry cleaners down the block. Large grocery store, Domino Park, restaurants, bars, and cafes are only steps away right outside. Heat and hot water are included; building has a buzzer system and a live-in super.
RENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Seeking a roommate who is considerate, communicative, and who prefers to live in a clean environment. I am open to a roommate of any gender, should they identify to one. No couples to share the room; nothing personal, just spacial/logistical. Just seeking a nice roommate who is responsible and reliable when it comes to paying rent and their utilities share on time!
The room will be available July 1st. Rent is $1900/month and I ask for $1900 (last month) for one-time security deposit. Utilities would be split evenly between us, about $60/month maybe (electric, gas, internet).
PHOTOS: The bedroom photo is what my roommate had done with the room. TV mount and shelves can come with or with them taken out and wall repaired. The living space is updated a bit style-wise, but overall same layout. And, yes, you will be neighbors with that blasé girl mural.
I am a professional makeup artist working in film&tv and theater mostly. I’d like to think I am a very considerate person and I enjoy having a clean common area, kitchen, and bathroom. Along with me is my [dog]muse, Eve. She is a very quiet and chill 7-year-old chihuahua mix who absolutely loves people, giving kisses, and napping. We are open for other dogs to join us, but unfortunately I am crazy allergic to cats.
