My husband and I are itinerant professors who travel and teach around the world, and for more than 20 years we’ve loved creating a home that feels warm, welcoming, and full of life. We truly enjoy hosting people, sharing meals, laughing together, and creating an environment where someone can feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely at home.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed several renters into our home, and many have become like family to us — truly “daughters” in our hearts. Our longest stay was 7 wonderful years, which we think says a lot about the atmosphere here.

We teach through the University of the Nations and have often opened this room to young women beginning a new season of life — whether starting school, work, military service or simply learning what it’s like to live independently for the first time. We love encouraging people as they grow while also respecting their privacy and personal space.
