I am looking for a new roommate to live in my townhouse. We are located in Midtown, which is an amazing location. We are walking distance to parks, restaurants and bars. Downtown is only a 20 minute walk away, which is really convenient for going to events at Toyota Center or Discovery Green where parking can be difficult. Rice University and University of Houston are both close and even reachable by train.

Here are a bunch more details:

• The house is three stories tall. Me and my wife live on the 3rd floor. You will be on the 1st floor
• All utilities will be bundled with rent. This will include internet, sewage, water, electricity, and garbage. As an incentive to you to be clean, we are also providing things like garbage bags, sponges, and dish soap.
• The metro rail is about a ten minute walk away. This is super convenient, because it allows you to walk to Downtown, Midtown, Hermann Park, Rice, Medical District, UH, and more
• NRG is to the south, Downtown is to the north, and Heights/Montrose is to the west. Everything that is fun to do in Houston is easily reachable. This includes concerts, events, restaurants, sights, etc. There isn’t anywhere in Houston that is more fun to live in than Midtown, in my opinion.
• Convenience: We’re a couple blocks away from a Randall and new Whole Foods.

Who we are looking for:

• No pets at all. I’m sorry, but I don’t want to deal with the maintenance and I’m actually allergic to a good number of animals.
• Someone who cleans after themselves.
• Only you are allowed to live in your room! No couples.
• No illegal activities allowed. This means no drugs. I don’t want to deal with that liability, thanks.
• The room is furnished with a queen bed.
• Please be courteous about your noise. My neighbors are a sweet elderly couple, but they are bothered when we have loud noises. If you are a musician, then this is not the right place for you (unless you are open to using headphones or something).

Don’t pay a ridiculous $1,200-1,400 at an apartment complex when you can live in a big house for way cheaper!

I am 33 years old from Los Angeles, California and work as a management consultant. My wife is from Houston, Texas and she works at an oil/gas company doing finance.
