$1533/mo + utilities. One bedroom PLUS a private office available in a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, very sunny, huge single-family house located in a quiet neighborhood, just over the Somerville line in Medford, 2 blocks away from Magoun Square.

Shared first floor has the living room, foyer, dining room, the available office, fully-equipped eat-in-kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including gas oven, dishwasher, french door fridge with ice maker and almost every kitchen toy you can think of), a half bath and a large walk-in closet. Hardwood floors and radiator heating throughout the house. Second floor is 3 separated bedrooms, another office area, and a bathroom with a tub/shower. Third floor is one great room. We use this space as a second living room that’s large enough to work out, stretch, yoga, play games and a place for occasional overnight guests to sleep over. There’s also the third bathroom with giant stall shower, dual vanity sink and plenty of storage in a shared walk-in closet.

Nice basement with front load laundry machines (free!) + lots of storage space with access to the backyard. The house is basically completely furnished except for the available bedroom and office, but we will work to accommodate your belongings, especially in the great room upstairs!

Available rooms: The available bedroom is big enough for a queen size bed, chair, night stands and a dresser @ ~120sf (10.375x11.75’) with 2 windows, a small closet and small built-in shelves, but there’s PLENTY of storage available throughout the house. This corner room overlooks the backyard. The available office is off of the dining room and is ~100sf (11x9.25’) with large windows overlooking the yard, perfect for someone who works from home.

Other amenities include a really sweet 11 year old female shih tzu, private fenced-in backyard with huge picnic table + grill, basketball hoop, tandem driveway, easy on-street parking with permit on a quiet one way street. The property owners are fantastic and very responsive.

Great neighborhood with many cafés, bakeries, pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Located ½ mile (10-minute walk) from either the Magoun Square or the Ball Square Green Line subway stops. Bus routes 101 and 89 stops are ~2 blocks away. Davis Square is a mile away. Community swimming pool, ball fields, basketball courts and walking track at Tufts Park and Trum Field are very close.

Credit check, first month’s rent and security (no realtor fee!) are required before move in. (Total $3,066.66). You will be added to the lease that runs until May 31, 2025.

We have lived in this house for 5 years and love it, but have been housemates for over 10. We are a male (50s) that runs an architectural millwork company, a female (40s) graphic designer who is currently working from home and female (9lb) shih tzu lapdog. None of us smoke, non-smoker preferred, but definitely no smoking in the house, per the lease.

We are very clean (especially in common areas of the house) and respectful. We both do a lot of cooking, grilling out, love beach trips, going out, trivia nights, playing darts, watching football and outdoor movie nights. This is far from a party house, however we do enjoy entertaining for holidays or summer barbecues with plenty of backyard games. Male housemate volunteers for the city and has a garden plot in the Medford Community Garden 2 blocks away! We both also volunteer for Courageous Sailing in the spring/summer where the male is a member. Ideally, we are looking for a housemate that would like to hang out with us, but there’s also plenty of room for everyone to spread out in this gorgeous house. Bills average $225 a month per person, depending on the season and includes high speed internet, cable, electricity and gas.
