This is a 2,600 square feet apartment on the top floor of Beverly Court Cooperative. The shared space includes a 19“x14’ entrance hall, two living rooms, a formal dining room, which has an unobstructed view of the Washington Monument and the nation’s Fourth of July fireworks. The galley kitchen with a large butler’s pantry is very well-equipped and includes a juicer, Cuisinart, and Veg-a-matic blender, as well as an array of essential cooking equipment. The stove is gas and there’s an additional freezer in the butler’s pantry.
I’m an artist. My roommate is a chef at JONT, a tasting-counter concept restaurant on 14th St. He works afternoons and nights. We’re both chill, and love to cook. My late wife, Manon Cleary was a great artist; in DC from the seventies to the nineties, the Beverly Court cooperative was the center of DC’s art scene.
