About the room
4th-floor walk-up on a corner building in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen (53rd St and 9th Ave). The apt has high ceilings, a dishwasher, plenty of cabinet space, and several windows so there’s lots of natural light. Tons of subway access nearby (10 min walk to Columbus Circle for A/B/C/D/1, 10 min walk to N/Q/R/W, 5 min walk to C/E) and it’s a 25-30 minute walk to both Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station. Central Park is a just a few blocks away and there are loads of restaurants and bars in the area. There’s no laundry in the building, but there’s a laundromat conveniently located across the street.
The room is available October 15th but a November 1st move-in could also work. This would be a sublet until the lease is renewed in February, at which point there’s the possibility to join the lease.
About the room: The smallest of the three bedrooms (but also the cheapest), it has a closet and the option to be furnished with a full bed and/or dresser. Since the room doesn’t face the street, it’s pretty quiet and doesn’t get a lot of the street noise. There’s also a window so it gets some light.
About the roomies
The apt comes with two wonderful roommates - two gays who enjoy living in NYC. Devante (28/m), an actor who recently graduated from culinary school, i.e. homemade baked goods, and Jonathan (35/m), who works in international education. Jonathan works from home but sometimes travels for work.
We’re pretty chill and laid back. We don’t need to be best friends with the roommate but looking for someone friendly and social. We’re both vaccinated and ask that you be as well.
