About the Place:

The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a 3 story brownstone. It was renovated only a couple years ago and is still, pretty much, in perfect condition. It has a very large and open living room, dinning room and kitchen area, with natural light throughout the apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped (including dishwasher) and has a lot of countertop space. The rooms are a bit smaller but do have 11 foot ceilings, so you don’t feel cramped. You can comfortably fit a full size bed, a desk and drawer and you have your own HVAC unit in the room, so you can control the temperature however you want throughout the year. The building also has a couple amenities including a washer and dryer, garden and roof access and storage space.

The Neighborhood:

Ridgewood has a family vibe, quiet, with lots of cafes and little mom and pop stores, there is an amazing butcher 2 blocks from the house. There is one smaller grocery store just a block away but several big grocery stores in the area, and lots of restaurants as well. The M train is around the corner from the apartment and connects you to the L train, but you can also walk to the L train in about 8-10min. It’s also safe here, and culturally diverse, which adds to its charm.

About me:

I’m in my mid 30s and consider myself a creative professional. I grew up in New York but am originally from Europe. My hobbies include: traveling, working on my creative projects, playing guitar or piano (not very well), cooking, reading the occasional book, getting exercise, watching tv, playing video games. I tend to also be a liberal thinker, and try to be conscious of the way we treat the world and each other.

What Im looking for in a Roommate:

To the most part, just a responsible person. Someone that can pay their rent on time, clean up after themselves, help clean the communal areas, and not be a general slob, etc. I tend to be a very easy going and get along with most people, so as long as you can be responsible with yourself and the apartment we should get along fine.

Some extra info:

The apartment is 420 friendly, but only in the bedrooms.

I would prefer no pets, if you own a lizard or fish, we can talk about it, but no cats or dogs though.

There is high speed internet, but no cable tv. I do have pretty much all the streaming services though.
