I’m a military veteran, baker, and chef. I have one cat who is very friendly. I had a roommate of two years recently move out to care for his ailing mother and he was one of the best roommates I ever had and I am hoping to find another great roommate. My other roommate is like a surrogate brother to me and has maintained the longest tenancy with me. He is one of the most loyal people I know. Together, we shared many laughs, helped each other through tough times and got things accomplished. That’s what decent human beings do. A lot of you don’t know who you’re going to end up living with or know if it’s going to work out and it’s clearly a leap of faith. I’ve been there and understand. I am currently considering renting both rooms. I am looking for a responsible, clean, and respectful roommate with a steady income and a good head on their shoulders. I am very fair, transparent, and am willing to work out a budget that works best for me and potential roommate. The candidate must be willing to sign a roommate agreement and honor it. The agreement will consist of split utilities, getting their own p.o. box, WIFI, cable if they prefer, and roommate being responsible for their own house supplies and upkeep. Any damages to the room will be documented and charged to occupant. Occupancy will be based on a month-to-month lease. Six-month contracts are not a guarantee unless the roommate can show consistent payment history. Before signing a new monthly lease, room will be inspected for damages and discrepancies. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and don’t like the smell of weed, so no smoking in the home please.
