International Blvd

Hello room searchers! We have a room open in our 3000 square foot 7-bedroom Victorian Flat. We are on International Blvd. at13th Ave. The home is located entirely on the second floor of a 2-story building but don’t let the plain exterior fool you! The interior is original Victorian from the 1800’s. Our flat is located in the San Antonio District of Oakland, only twelve blocks east of Lake Merritt, a 5-minute bike ride to either Fruitvale or Lake Merritt Bart Stations and close to many amazing ethnic restaurants. The room size is about 10’ x 12’ with with a loft bed so you can utilize the entire layout. There are two full baths, a giant living room and a large kitchen with 2 fridges and an indoor space for storing your bike. The entire space is kept really clean by each roommate contributing to a revolving chore wheel which only takes about 15 minutes per person/per week. We also do Quarterly “Deep Cleans” at the end of each season where we all pitch in to clean a bit deeper than usual. All of us are professional adults who are looking for someone similar, someone who’s mature and considerate. We’re all really busy and all have extremely different schedules which mean we rarely are all present in the house at the same time. To add to that, we are not looking for a party type of housemate. We do have a drama/free house, get along really well and work at keeping it that way. If you are looking for a quiet adult house that doesn’t require you participate in a ton of house meetings this is your place. While we’re all very COVID conscious, we’re all still open to having friends & visitors over and the rules are quite limited. If you don’t hurt anyone (physically or emotionally) respect the housemates & have a great attitude you’re good to go! Unfortunately we don’t have enough room for couples and can’t take any pets. Move in cost: 1st month’s rent + last month’s rent + 400 Deposit. We can split the move in costs over 2 months if needed and the lease agreement is for a minimum 6-month term before switching to month-to-month.

We are a house of 6 housemates looking for our 7th and final addition! Though the number may seem high, 5 out of 6 of us have day jobs and we’re all rarely home at the same time… if we are, our common spaces are have more than enough space for everyone!
