The house is an 1860s Mansard Victorian on a quarter acre lot. It is a 3 minute walk to the Cambridge Common, close to public transportation and to Harvard Square.

There are four furnished rooms for rent on the third floor; this listing is for the second largest room: 12’7“ wide by 13’7“ long by 7’4“high.

The couch in the pictures is not included.

All utilities and internet are included; the house has AC. There is a washer and dryer on the first floor. The first floor is common space (kitchen, dining room and living room). There is also a half-bath on the 1st floor that tenants may use.

There is a $10 monthly fee for a cleaning service that comes twice a month to clean the common areas, including the shared 3rd floor bathroom.

The house has a spacious covered porch that is perfect for warm weather entertaining. There is also a yard for outside gatherings.

Street parking is available with a resident sticker from the city of Cambridge, off-street parking in the driveway is negotiable.

We are two gay men living with our eight-year old granddaughter. We both have tech jobs and often work from home.

We have lived here over 20 years and have often had other adults living with us. We enjoy living in community.

We are LGBTQ+ welcoming and cannabis friendly. Smoking is only permitted outside. No tobacco. No pets—we are allergic to pet dander.

The other tenants on the 3rd floor are young adults (20’s and 30’s). You’ll of course get the opportunity to talk and/or meet with all of us in order to make sure this is a good fit for everyone.
