About the room
Hello! I am renting out two rooms in the house that I have moved out of but am helping continue manage since I am the primary on the lease. There are two bedrooms available. This is the post for the master and I will be making another for the other smaller room where rent is $550 a month.
Anywho:
House is located in Aurora. Major cross streets are Alameda and Peoria. Right down the road from Medical Center of Aurora and near University Hospital. Also near the Aurora mall and another shopping center further north. It’s a nice neighborhood. We are located on the street but there isn’t much noise and I’ve never had a problem getting out of the driveway.
Rent is $750 a month for an individual or $1000 a month for a couple. You get the HUGE master bedroom that has two closets and an ensuite (no tub). When I say huge I mean it is as big as Anna and mines combined bedroom. Utilities are split evenly between roommates and run about 100 a person per month.
Pictures are of your room, your bathroom (shower wasn’t pictured but you do have a shower), your upstairs living room, and the kitchen.
We have a spacious kitchen, covered deck, and large backyard. Great for entertaining and furry friends!
The house is a split level and the only room on the upstairs floors is yours (the other three bedrooms are in the basement), there is also a large living room upstairs that would be primarily yours (we have another living room in the basement where us bottom dwellers hang out together). It is semi furnished but plenty of room for your own furniture.
We love pets but your pets must be quiet and well behaved as there are two bedrooms directly below your room and if your pets are running around and playing it can disturb the other people below you and one roommate does work night shift and sleep during the day.
We love having guests and friends over, but in moderation, we don’t want to be a trap/party house where people are just constantly coming, going, and crashing.
420 and cigarettes are okay but only in the backyard, against the fence, away from the house. This is non-negotiable. If you’re going to smoke please don’t damage the property.
We are renting this house through a property management company and due to that and the terms of our lease, you would have to be added to the lease. We have the flexibility to add or remove roommates at any time so if you need to move out at any time for any reason you are more than welcome to. Since this is done through a rental company they require a background check and income verification to be completed. You have to provide two paystubs and a photo ID, that’s all. It’s really easy. It does cost $50.
About the roomies
My name is Colette, I am 21 and I am a critical care EMT and volunteer firefighter. I am moving out and filling my room right now as well.
Anna is 20 and she is a warehouse worker with her dog Aurora who is the sweetest, most timid and loving dog ever. Anna is a vegetarian and stays in her room a lot.
Micah is 21 and works in retail. He is huge into music and produces and plays music.
We are a responsible, fun household and are looking forward to meeting you!
