Benedikt's room

We, Beth, Damon, and Benedikt, are looking for a new roommate from August 1st, 2020. You might even move in up to two weeks earlier.

The room [225 sqft.] we have is a 2nd master bedroom with your own bath [7x9] and french doors to the southern garden area with private entrance. The monthly cost for the room is $1000 plus approx. $80 utility [gas, water, internet] in summer [we never use AC] and $120 in winter [due to use or room heaters].

The house has a very spacious kitchen with cooking island, dining area, living room [one sizeable open area], and shared beautiful office space. It is amazingly light due to big sliding glass doors, lots of windows, and skylights. It is in a short cul-de-sac and the next road is really small, so very, very few cars by.

The house has three extensive outside areas/gardens to enjoy and relax in. We do NOT use wifi due to the harmful effects but have ultrafast internet with wires to our computers.

This home is in the charming neighborhood of Fire Mountain in Oceanside and is a gem. You can take short and long walks on old tree-lined streets with some spectacular ocean views. It is lush and green throughout the year and only 10 min drive to the ocean. Carlsbad is a 10 min, Encinitas a 20 min drive.

Cyclops Farms, an organic farm with Saturday market, is just a 3 min walk away. Trader Joes, Frazier Farms, and Sprouts are a 5 min drive away.

Who would be a good fit for us? You have a healthy and conscious, no-drama, relaxed life with a stable job/income, responsible, and pays on-time and equally relaxed friendship circle. In light of this year’s life-disrupting events, we also noticed that we are looking for someone with a balanced, non-extremist worldview. Meaning you can see and integrate polarizing situations/views and have a third perspective that is not fanatically involved in one of the polarities. Although we have a month-to-month lease now, we ideally look for someone who wants to stay a whole year, as we plan to do. We are vegetarians and vegans. We want someone who enjoys being social with us as we enjoy the occasional dinner, movie, or fun conversations. You have to be a non-smoker and minimal or non-alcohol drinker, and no 420 users. We are more the Encinitas type folks. We would label our household as relaxed and grounded spiritual, meaning we are not fanatically following one path, but have a general spiritual outlook and approach to life. We have the occasional social gathering of close friends, and we don’t consider ourselves a party house.

In regards to age, we span from 46, 50 to 55. So somewhere between end 30ish to 60ish feels like a good match. Damon runs an Amazon business, Beth is an animal communicator and personal development facilitator, and Benedikt is a filmmaker. We all work from home.
