We are seeking two roommates for an amazing, well-appointed, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, and 2,572 square foot home, that’s fully furnished, except for the bedrooms. Only three people will be living in the house. Two roommates will have PRIVATE bedrooms on the second floor, and share a large shard full bathroom with double sinks. They will also have use of all the home’s living areas, including a guest bathroom on the first floor, a large game room/living room/theater, dining room, living room, kitchen, front porch with furniture, covered deck with furniture, and large fenced and landscaped, back and side yard.

The ideal roommate is responsible, reliable, and cleans up after themselves. No smoking, vaping, drugs, excessive drinking, loud music, or wild parties. No pets except for the homeowner’s extremely chill and mild mannered service dog.

There are multiple retreat areas including a theater/game room/living room upstairs, which provides privacy and separation (when desired) from the homeowner who a grad-student/research fellow, occupies the downstairs master bedroom, and occasionally the downstairs living room.

You’ll have full use of both floors of home, including the kitchen, laundry, appliances, and electronics. The kitchen should have everything you need, including stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, 5-burner gas cook-top, and reverse osmosis water filter); and there’s a 2nd refrigerator in the garage. We only ask that you clean up after yourself and run dishwasher when full.

The house has an alarm system, digital keypad entry for the door and garage, outside video, motion detection lighting, central heat and air conditioning with dual WiFi thermostats, porch and deck furniture, and gas barbecue. The living room has a 55-inch flat screen smart TV, and the theater room, has a 75 inch flat screen smart TV – both with surreal sound systems, Cable, Netflix, and other streaming capabilities. There’s high-speed wireless Internet and cable.

This is a quiet, clean, comfortable, and relaxing household, where we are all focused on our personal goals, staying healthy, avoiding drama, and living in a clean, safe, residential neighborhood with nearby parks, nature preserves, and shopping, rather than a cramped, and drab apartment. All you need is your bedroom furniture and personal belongings, and the ability to pay your rent and enjoy living here.

About the neighborhood and Plano area:

The house is surrounded by multiple scenic walking areas. About two miles away is the Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve that is full of miles of beautiful trails and scenery. About a mile to the East, there’s also a nice greenbelt area for walking, jogging, and biking. Across from the Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, there’s Oak Point Recreation Center that has multiple pools, a gym, and other amenities. Annual membership for residents is very reasonable, and it also gets you access to all of the city pools and recreation centers in Plano. You’ll also have access to the running track that belongs to the high school within walking distance of the house. The closest library is a short drive away, and Plano actually has several libraries to choose from. The home is also close close to shopping areas (including Watters Creek (Allen), the Shops at Fairview, Shops of Legacy (Plano), North Park Mall (Dallas), and the Stonebriar Centre (Frisco), just to name a few, and a variety of restaurants to suit every taste and budget.

Downtown Plano is about a ten minute drive from the house, and you’ll find Plano’s downtown has some interesting and eclectic restaurants and taverns, as well as a variety of events held in Plano’s outdoor theater. Speaking of theaters, Plano has multiple movie theaters, arcades, Top Golf, and bowling alleys nearby.

You’ll also find parking and traffic North to Dallas to be quite manageable. Its an easy drive to UTD, State Farm, Legacy Park, or even SMU (where I go).
