• We split Internet (35$/mo), hot water, electricity with PECO (no gas in the apartment), apartment insurance (13$/mo).

The rent is on a separate contract under my landlord. He runs a background check. You need to have >675 credit score and around 3000 income per month. If you are a student, a guarantor will work.
