Winslow House Share, Private Entrance w/ Porch—Walkable to Ferry & downtown

The house is a charming cottage in a Winslow neighborhood off of a leafy street with a private entrance with an attached porch, parking in the driveway and a fenced backyard. The ferry is an easy half-mile walk and downtown Bainbridge’s boutique shops, cafes, restaurants, grocery stores (and the ocean!) are just ¾ of a mile. The neighborhood is quaint, has dedicated pea patches, a bus stop, and a public trail leading straight downtown.

My home’s location is a balance of being close enough to be walkable, and just far enough that you can get a peaceful night’s sleep.

Currently, I am polishing up my home a bit at a time, including the garden, so it will continue to become more and more beautiful with time, and the garden will become a refreshing space with a mini European-style kitchen and herb garden.

The Space The bedroom comes with a private entrance and attached porch with a pretty view—perfect for sipping morning coffee and unwinding in the evening. The room has temperature control with A/C available for summer heat spikes. Currently it is unfurnished, but if you need or desire, I may have a few pieces available. The room’s dimensions are 13’ x 10’.

Shared Spaces Shared living spaces include a fully equipped kitchen (with designated storage for you), the dining and living areas, laundry, and the full bath.

Pets I have two beloved and affectionate felines, so a housemate should love cats. Sadly, I can’t host additional felines, but a very specific, cat-friendly dog or other pet may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

What I’m Looking For A pleasant female housemate who is considerate, values peaceful living, is naturally tidy (but not OCD), and is reliable.

Please Note To keep my home a place of respite: no partiers, heavy drinking, smoking, vaping, or drugs (marijuana included).

The Details Rent: $1,000/month

Utilities: 50/50 split. Expect ~$150-250 for the following combined utilities: water & sewer (I currently pay ~$125/month), electricity (my highest winter bill: $169, lowest summer bill: $70), trash ($10), recycling (~$15), compost (~$7) and internet ($20).

I choose to run a home focused on being eco-conscious (efficient appliances, Time-of-Use power, etc.) and I would like to collaborate with my housemate to minimize utility bills.

Move-in: First month’s rent, refundable security deposit, and a $200 non-refundable move-out cleaning fee.

Lease & Screening: 1-year lease preferred (open to discussion). Proof of income, references, and a standard background/credit check via a secure screening service.
