Corner room with lots of natural light, low rent, and beautiful old construction with dark wood trim and thick walls that block lots of sound. It’s a 1.5 bath duplex, with very spacious common areas, a great kitchen (dishwasher included), and in-unit washer dryer. The neighbors are friendly and courteous, and we sometimes have fun little house dinners together! This property is great for someone who wants to live in a lush neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle without breaking the bank. Even so, you still get some great restaurants very close by in the U-district and Eastlake, and groceries about a 6-7 minute bike away either north or south. We’re also only a 5 minute walk from some great swimming spots along the eastern shore of Lake Union! The house is somewhat close to I-5, though we who live here now rarely find it to be much of an issue for sleep or general enjoyment of the space, and it honestly makes driving to many other places in the city really convenient.

My roommate Cynthia and I are moving out, and we are currently searching for 2 new folks to live with our other roommate Emily. Emily (29) is a queer woman generally looking to live with other queer women and nonbinary folks. She’s very outgoing and loves to hang/have a movie night every once in awhile and host parties/dinners on occasion. She works from home some days, though how much varies from week to week. She has the most adorable little cat, Fig, who loves to play, and who will generally warm up to other cats after a short time.
