About the room
*THIS IS AN AD FOR A ROOM THAT WILL BE READY AT THE END OF OCTOBER.
*PICS UPDATED.
Quick heads-up on what the complex needs for the application:
Income: Total rent is $3,195 ($1,560 each), and management wants us to gross 2.5x that, which is about $8,000 total. I bring in close to $4,000 solo, so you’ll just need to match that on your end.
Credit: They look for an average score around 620. My credit is way up there, so yours would have to drop below roughly 430 for our combined average to dip under their line.
Background: Gotta be able to pass a standard background check.
Please don’t reach out if you can’t check these boxes!
What I’m looking for in a roommate:
I’m a guy in my mid-30s, so I’d prefer someone close-ish in age (28 to 39).
Definitely be out of your party phase. I’m cool with having guests over every once in a while, but not every single day.
Prefer a non-smoker. If you do smoke, you’ll have to take it outside and off complex property since they don’t allow it.
No pets, no kids, and no couples, please!
We will discuss this more in detail if we move forward.
Welcome to The Missions at Rio Vista in Mission Valley—I’ve lived here for about a year and honestly love it.
The spot is in a prime location: right outside the complex is a shopping center with Ross, TJ Maxx/HomeGoods, Total Wine, a bunch of food spots (Wendy’s, Wingz N Thingz, Thai, Jersey Mike’s, Sombrero, Breakfast Republic), and the holy grail—a Dollar Tree. Plus, Mission Valley Mall is right around the corner and Fashion Valley is just five minutes down the street. We’re also super close to the trolley station, so getting around is a breeze.
The condo itself is a 2-bed, 2-bath. You’ll get the slightly bigger bedroom and your own private bathroom (mine connects to the living area, but it’s my own space). We’ve got ceiling fans in every room, A/C, a fireplace, a dishwasher, and an in-unit washer/dryer. The place is fully furnished except for your room, and you’ll have full access to everything—including the massive 88-inch 8K UHD 120Hz TV and the PS5.
Other perks include two parking spots for you, a gym, two pools, a quiet study room, a community room, and that essential Dollar Tree right across the street.
I’m actively looking to fill the spot and will be getting back to inquiries. Hit me up if you’re interested!
About the roomies
My name is Jonathan. I’m a heavy gamer, so most of my free time goes toward that. Aside from gaming, I’m into working out, learning Spanish, hittin’ movies, and checking out cool spots around San Diego. I just got my passport too, so I’m excited to finally start traveling out of the country soon.
Personality-wise, I’m chill and understanding, but I’m also pretty direct when something needs to be addressed—not to be confrontational, just straight to the point (I ask you do the same). I don’t like tension at all and I’m really adamant about keeping a peaceful home. I will say though, my current roommate and I haven’t had issues, and I would like to keep that trend going. For me, it all comes down to the three R’s: respect, being responsible, and keeping things reasonably tidy.
