About the room
Temporary Room Rental (3-Month Lease) – Great Space to Save Money!
Looking for a quiet, affordable, and private spot to crash and save up cash for your next move? I’m offering a private bedroom for a 3-month short-term stay in a solid, convenient neighborhood.
Why It’s a Great Deal:
Financial Landing Pad: Ideal if you need an affordable, short-term spot to save up for your own place. Rent goes directly toward funding a basement bathroom renovation!
Your Room: Fully private. A bed is available if you need it, or feel free to bring your own.
House Access: Full access to the main living space (upstairs is my private room).
Outdoor Space: Beautiful backyard perfect for morning stretches, workouts, or meditating.
Basement Access: Currently under renovation, but will be available for shared use once finished.
Location & Logistics:
Convenience: Half a block from a community center & prominent church; 3-minute drive to the nearest laundromat.
Commute: 18 minutes to Downtown and the Canadian border.
House Rules & Setup:
Term: 3 months only.
Security & Peace of Mind: Security cameras installed on the premises.
Guests: Maximum of 1 guest at a time (unless cleared in advance). No overnight guests.
Future Dynamic: Note that my 17-year-old nephew will be moving in around October.
If you’re a quiet, respectful individual looking for a temporary space while saving for your next step, send me a message with a quick intro!
About the roomies
About Me / Your Roommate:
Hi! My name is Jacquez. I work as a K–8 technology teacher, run a small cabinet business, and lead a non-profit dedicated to supporting local shelters here in Detroit.
Lifestyle & Routine:
Active Schedule: Between teaching, running my non-profit, and handling cabinet projects (which I work on in the garage, basement, or porch), I’m often out a couple of days a week. That means you’ll frequently have the house to yourself!
Eco-Conscious: Environmental responsibility is really important to me, especially initiatives focused on reducing microplastics in our water.
House Culture & Alignment:
I value an inclusive, community-minded home. To make sure we’re a good fit, it’s important that my roommate shares progressive values—specifically, this is a non-Trump and non-Zionist/Pro-Israel home.
If this sounds like a living situation where you’d thrive, reach out and let’s connect!
