This is a 3bd/2ba house in the NE Gainesville P&G neighborhood right by the Library Partnership library. It’s within biking distance to UF, Walmart, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Lowe’s, Planet Fitness, Ross – just about anywhere you’d need to go on a daily basis. It’s quiet, bike-friendly, close to both downtown and UF but separated enough that we won’t be bothered by the football crowds on game days or the nightlife chaos on weekends. The house is well-maintained. There’s a washer and dryer in-house. It’s all wood-laminate flooring (so no dirty carpeting to deal with). The walls are brick so that should hopefully dampen any noise between rooms a bit. The two available rooms would share the larger hallway bathroom with the bathtub. The second smaller bathroom is en-suite to the bedroom I would be in. The living room and dining rooms are spacious and unfurnished at the moment - which will make moving in and getting organized a little easier. We can talk about furniture for those rooms once everyone is settled in. Sorry, no pets or smokers (of any kind) are allowed. Monthly rent would be $600 per room plus utilities and internet split 3-ways. The security deposit is one month’s rent ($600). Security deposit and first month’s rent ($1200) would be due at signing. You’ll need to be able to pass a background and credit check. It’s fine if you’re a student and your credit score isn’t that great because you don’t have a credit history; as long as there aren’t any other major issues on your credit history.
I’m a clean and responsible working professional looking for some like-minded roommates. I’m not just looking to fill these rooms. I’m aiming to create a peaceful, relaxing home environment where everyone gets along and is respectful of one another. I’m drug-free, a non-smoker, and only drink on rare celebratory occasions. I don’t host parties or have many guests over. I keep common areas clean because I genuinely prefer a tidy home (and pests are the worst). I also have a perfect record of paying bills on time. On a more personal note: I’m a bit of a film buff. So if you like talking about films, we’ll get along famously. I used to be pretty active and in shape before the pandemic. I’m working on getting back to that place, so health and fitness is something I’ve been trying to focus more on. I’ve gotten more into riding my bike around town for running errands. The P&G neighborhood is perfectly situated for that. It’s good for your health, great for the environment, a win-win!
I’d love to have a good relationship with my roommates – maybe even make some new friends – but I’m also mindful and respectful of people’s space and privacy. I’d be up for a movie night or hanging out with the roommates. I’d also be fine with roommates who get along but only see each other occasionally in the hallway. Either way, I think that good communication and mutual respect are essential. I’m hoping to find some equally mature, clean and responsible roommates looking to move soon. I’m open to any gender. I’ve had both male and female roommates in the past. I’m open to students but you should know this is definitely not a party house.
