About the room
If you have an appreciation for a historical Victorian property, you would be delighted to live in the Jarvis House, built in 1886, but updated with some modern amenities. My wife and I live on the bottom floor and we rent out three rooms on the second floor. Currently there is one male and one female, and they each have their own bathroom, so whoever comes onto the third bedroom would be sharing the bathroom with one of the two depending on whether it’s a male or female. The house is located on the perimeter of downtown Riverside and we are a very short distance to the entrance to Mount Rubidoux. We do pay for the wi-fi, gas, gardener and water and trash. We only charge for 25% of the electrical bil.
About the roomies
As mentioned, my wife and I live on the first floor. I am a retired teacher and she is a retired banker. On the second floor, we have a female student from UCR as well as a middle aged male who works at two jobs so he is hardly at home.
