About the room
Hi there! I’m looking for a housemate starting in Sept or after to share my 2br/1ba apartment (first floor of old house) in South Hill, right up from Boulevard Park.
Rent is $1,100 each ($2,200 total)
The apartment is bright and has a beautiful view of the bay, wood floors, large dining room, counter facing the kitchen, sun room room currently used as office, basement and bike storage, dishwasher, and laundry room in unit.
The landlord comes to live at the apartment during July/Aug, which works out well for me as I am only up in Bellingham during academic terms, but does mean that the space is only available Sept–June each year. He allows us to leave items in the basement storage during his stay. I’m open to shorter term or non-renewing folks too.
Ideally looking for…
Someone who’s late 20s-50s, women or couples preferred, queer friendly a must. Works outside of the house, sociable but has their own thing going on, neat/clean.
Sorry, no pets (I’m allergic to cats and the landlord says no dogs).
Open to partial/shorter and full term lease of Sept-June, renewable if we work out.
Happy to answer questions!
About the roomies
I stay pretty busy, work on campus at WWU a few days a week and from home on other days. I live part time in Portland with my partner and travel a lot, so I’m also out of town somewhat often.
I am a working artist, and labor/political organizer, and that work is really important to me. When I’m home I like take it easy in a quiet and clean space. I cook often but keep the kitchen clean. Love music, going to shows and listening to records, reading and watching movies, hiking and getting out into the natural world, cold plunges, etc. Nonsmoker (including weed) but I do drink alcohol sometimes. Like to have friends over occasionally for low key hangouts, and am open to socializing together if we hit it off, but not mandatory by any means.
