Roommate Wanted – Spacious Arlington Apartment Available 9/1

Hi! I’m looking for a roommate to share my apartment in Arlington starting 9/1 or later. Rent is $1,150/month plus utilities and internet (typically around $150–250/month depending on season) with a $1,150 security deposit.

The apartment is a spacious, comfortable two-bedroom located in a great area — within walking distance of Arlington Center and the Minuteman Bikeway, and a short drive from Alewife, Davis Square, Medford, and Cambridge. It’s a very convenient location whether you drive, bike, or use public transportation.

About the apartment:

• Spacious apartment with lots of natural light
• Shared living room, dining area, kitchen, and bathroom
• Large front and back porches — the front porch is a great year-round hangout spot with lots of windows and comfortable seating
• Free laundry in the basement (just for our unit)
• Off-street parking
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Comfortable shared living space with a sectional couch and nice TV
• Well-maintained apartment with a responsive landlord who takes care of repairs quickly

The available bedroom is unfurnished, so you can make it your own. Shared spaces are already set up and include furniture, kitchen supplies, and everything needed to comfortably live here.

About me:

I’m a 28-year-old technology specialist working remotely most days, with occasional office days. Outside of work, I spend a lot of my time climbing, hiking, playing guitar, cooking, listening to music, gaming, and getting outdoors whenever I can.

I have a pretty consistent routine — typically up around 8–9 AM and usually winding down around 10–11 PM. Since I work from home, I appreciate having a comfortable and respectful environment where we can both focus during the day.

Cleanliness is important to me. I like keeping shared spaces tidy and comfortable — the kitchen stays clean, dishes don’t pile up, and I regularly clean the bathroom and floors. I want the apartment to feel like a relaxing place to come home to.

I’d describe myself as friendly, easygoing, and pretty low-key. I enjoy getting to know the people I live with and would be open to occasionally cooking together, grabbing food, hiking, climbing, or doing something outdoors. That said, I’m not expecting a built-in best friend — I think the best roommate situations are ones where people are friendly, communicate well, and respect each other’s space.

Looking for someone who:

• Is clean, respectful, and communicative
• Helps maintain a comfortable shared space
• Is mature and responsible
• Respects boundaries and personal space
• Is looking for a stable place to live for at least 6 months (longer would be great)

A few notes:

• The lease is currently month-to-month, offering flexibility
• No indoor smoking
• No dogs (landlord does not allow them)
• A well-behaved cat may be possible with landlord approval
• Small pets may be considered (I currently have a leopard gecko)
• Not looking for a couple/shared-room situation, though occasional guests are totally fine

The biggest perk of the apartment is having a comfortable home in a great location with a roommate who wants to maintain a respectful, easygoing household. I’m looking for someone who communicates well, has a good sense of humor, and wants the apartment to feel like a place both of us enjoy coming home to.
