Private Bedroom for Rent – El Cajon – Available August 1
Rent: $700/month Security Deposit: $700 Utilities: Split evenly between 3 people. 50-100 per month
We’re looking for one roommate to rent the private bedroom in our 2 bed / 1 bath apartment.
Household Layout To keep everyone’s rent affordable, I’ve converted the living room into my personal bedroom using room dividers for privacy. Because of this, there isn’t a traditional shared living room. The shared spaces are the kitchen, dining area, and bathroom.
If having a large common living room is important to you, this probably isn’t the right fit. If you’re mostly looking for an affordable private bedroom and don’t mind a different layout, it works well.
About the roomies
About Us
- Arturo is the leaseholder and has lived here for about five years. He’s kind, respectful, and currently on disability leave from construction work.
- I have a very friendly cat, so you’ll need to be comfortable living with cats.
What We’re Looking For We’re hoping to find someone who:
- Is respectful and communicates well.
- Pays rent on time.
- Is genuinely clean and helps maintain the apartment.
- Is willing to rotate household chores, including cleaning the bathroom every other week and helping keep the kitchen clean.
We’re looking for someone who wants a peaceful, cooperative home rather than just a place to sleep.
The Apartment
- Private bedroom.
- Shared bathroom.
- Functional kitchen.
- On-site laundry (laundry key available).
- Street parking only. Parking can be difficult after 7:00 PM.
To be transparent, this is an older apartment. It has an ongoing roach problem, worn flooring, and visible wear and tear. It isn’t luxury housing, but it’s one of the more affordable options in the area.
If you’re interested, send us a message with a little about yourself, your work or school schedule, your roommate experience, and what you look for in a shared home.
