The available space is a private, unfurnished basement suite with its own bathroom. It also includes plenty of extra space for storage, exercise, creative work, or personal projects. If you enjoy building things or working with your hands, you will have room to spread out.

The house has lots of shared space, including a parlor with a projector, a large gaming hall with a masonry fireplace, a furnished front porch, a back porch with an outdoor dining area, a deck, a backyard, shared laundry, and bicycle storage.

The house is next to a park and hiking trails. It is also close to historic Hyattsville, shopping, the Mall at Prince George’s, and the Hyattsville Crossing Metro. The Metro is approximately a six minute walk away, and downtown Washington can be reached in about 30 minutes by public transportation.

Rent is $1,400 per month, plus a share of utilities. The security deposit is $500. The suite is available August 31, 2026, and a 12 month stay is preferred. The space is intended for one person.

One basement photo has been virtually staged to show what the suite could become. The basement itself is rented unfurnished. All other pictured areas are genuinely furnished and shown as they currently appear.

Two men currently live in the house, including me as the resident landlord. One of us works in technology and DJs, while the other is an Instagram content creator.

We are friendly and occasionally enjoy hosting game nights, but we also value privacy and independence. We are looking for someone who wants a peaceful, clean, considerate, and adult home environment. We also know many of our neighbors, which gives the immediate block a friendly and connected feeling.

This is a nonsmoking and drug free home. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Overnight guests are welcome within reason.
