The apartment is just off Alfred St, a five minute walk from Main Street and the cute little downtown area. This location is also less than a block from the Biddeford/Saco bus line, and either a quick bus ride or 16 minute walk to the Saco Transportation Station, where you can access commuter busses into Portland, or Amtrak trains to Boston and points south. We have in-unit laundry, and heat and water are included in rent, so we’re only responsible for power and internet as utilities. Both entrances are up multiple flights of stairs, so it is unfortunately not really accessible for people with mobility issues. No kids or pets, and Absolutely No Smoking allowed in the building, sorry!
The room that’s opening up is about 10’ x 10’6“, unfurnished. We’re coming up on the end of a year here, and have most of the big furniture we need for the shared spaces, but there’s definitely still room for someone else to bring in decor and smaller pieces and help add some of their own flavor to the space.
Hello, I’m Callie (she/they). I’m a horror movie nerd and former professional cook who’s moved to grocery retail for stability, sane work hours, and insurance/retirement benefits. I spend most of my free time reading, watching scary movies, or (not as often as I’d like) working on craft projects.
The other tenant is Tessa (she/her), who works in the restaurant service industry. She’s into comedy, game nights, and Magic: the Gathering. We both have eclectic musical taste, and Tessa specifically has a pretty cool vinyl collection.
We are both LGBTQ+ and leftist. We tend to value quiet, and mostly go about our own business, but do sometimes have friendly movie hangs. Neither of us are big partiers, but occasionally have guests over or host low-key gatherings. We try to be considerate of shared spaces, both in tidiness and and the volume of music/media we have playing, but we do use them, and hope that whoever moves in will feel comfortable to do the same.
We’re looking for someone who can reliably meet their responsibilities, and who wants to help cultivate a cozy, tidy, chill shared space. We’re also Covid-conscious here, so please be willing to test if you’re having flu symptoms (I keep a stash of tests and masks) and isolate if you test positive. I promise, I’ll do a grocery store run to bring you popsicles and make you soup if you do this.
