About the room
The house has a cozy, communal vibe with an outdoor patio and picnic table, a gorgeous view of rolling pastures and grazing cows. This house is committed to practicing our values, building and maintaining a safe place for queer, neurodivergent, and bipoc folks in rural areas and having fun! We hope to share our farmed and foraged goodies over the spring/summer/fall and want to foster a place to introvertedly-recharge, gather friends, and build a rural community. The fixings! This is a 3-bedroom house with a room available. The home has two full bathrooms (shower and tub), sunroom, laundry/dryer, large den, full kitchen, huge yard with back patio & front area picnic table and grill, fruit trees, and a soon-to-be garden. About the roomies
A bit about roomies Sid (she/they), 29yo, black scorpion sun, cancer moon, cancer rising I am a farmer with a passion for flowers but I currently work in cannabis. I play bass and like to cook communal dinners. I aim to create a warm living environment and have an awareness of each roommates social battery. I seek balance in all aspects of life and people have described me as pretty grounded. Rachel (she/her) 42yo, white leo sun, virgo rising, scorpio moon I am a food worker, currently a full-time chocolatier. I bring home lots of goodies and these days tend to do a lot of resting and recharging at the house. I also like to do a lot of cooking and am starting seeds for a garden. I like to take care of things and people and cultivate warmth and sweetness in a home. I have two feline familiars, bio’s below. 🐱Chanterelle Quiet, but if you start the conversation, you will receive a response, a surprising range of sounds and chirps. Velvet fur and confident. Loves pets and attention, but likes his autonomy and will squirm out of your arms if picked up. Build the trust and he will come to you. 🐱Chestnut Anxious and curious. Needs some deep human bonding time and will be your lap soul-mate, but once his love cup is filled he will do his own thing watching the world outside go by for hours, so be prepared to be ignored. 🐱Papaya A ten year old spicy calico with gorgeous and unnervingly large eyes. She can warm up to people but she prefers to hang out in the general space of people, but in her own space and isn’t as cuddly. Her cuteness definitely makes up for her prickly personality. Think of her like a beautiful ambulatory plant, she is there to be appreciated but not so much interacted with. Lease & Rent & Utilities A good fit is a priority over everything else. Ideally, you’d be planning to stay six months to longer, August - January, but let’s talk about it, if we are a good match we’d love you to stick around. Lease: Our landlord lives down the road and is a cow farmer, Sid, holds the main lease, passed over from a previous roommate who had it for four years now, and Sid subleases to the other roommates. Rent is $600 per room. Utilities when split by 3 people is approximately $135 a month. (Electric, Gas, Wifi)
