Like, Rome wasn’t built in a day — but it was probably destroyed by someone leaving dishes in the sink. If you’re into backyard bonfires, the occasional roommate dinner that accidentally turns into a 3-hour life talk, and wiping down the counters like a legend, you’ll thrive here. Yes — it’s a big house. Like, 8 bedrooms big. But that just means more people to split a Costco haul with, cheaper utilities, more themed house gathering potential, and always someone around who knows how to unclog the sink. It’s roommate living with intentional community — not a frat house. If that sounds like your jam, keep reading :)

Room Pricing: Rooms range from $1,075 to $1,250 depending on the vibes — aka things like size, whether it’s furnished, has a lake view, private entrance, or other fancy features. Think of it like Airbnb meets Real World: Seattle. Shoot me a message with what matters most to you (view? space? private vibes?), and I’ll let you know what’s available that fits.

Flexibility in Lease Length: Life happens — job changes, travel dreams, sudden moves to Bali. If you need to dip out before your 12-month lease is up, no stress: you can find someone to take over your spot (as long as the house vibes with them), and pay a lease break fee. So you’re not totally locked in if flexibility is your thing.

Bonus Points If: You come with plants (the more jungle-y, the better), own a paddle board or canoe (because, lake life), or you’re into hiking/backpacking so we can organize spontaneous mountain escapes and carpool like eco-friendly legends. Basically, if you’re outdoorsy or a plant parent, we already like you.

Oh — and plot twist: We turned the backyard shed by the water and fire pit into a cozy little guest house / hangout zone / bonus living room. It’s like a lakeside clubhouse where you can chill, read, host a friend, or stare into the fire and question your life choices (in a good way). Plenty of space to kick it.

What’s Nearby: Go ahead and plug “Bitter Lake” into Maps — you’ll see we’re right next to Planet Fitness, LA Fitness, Chick-fil-A, and a whole lineup of restaurants for your post-workout or post-lazy-day cravings. Super close to i-5 for easy commuting, and if you don’t have a car, no worries — the bus stop’s basically at the front door. But don’t just take my word for it… let the blue dot on Maps convince you.

Bathrooms & Kitchen: The kitchen’s got three full-size stainless steel fridges (yes, three), a range, microwave, and a bunch of other appliances for your chef or snack-life needs — plus plenty of cupboard space so no one’s fighting over where to put their oat milk or hot sauce collection. As for bathrooms, we’ve got 3 full ones, so no awkward hallway pacing while you wait for your turn. Smooth sailing all around.

One Last Thing: It’s one human per room — solo living vibes only. Partners and plus-ones are totally welcome to visit and hang out, but when it comes to who’s actually living here, it’s one person per room. Keeps the house balanced and the bathrooms available.
