About the room
The building is on a quiet dead end street in Noble Square just a couple minute walk from Divison & Milwaukee and Wicker Park. The unit is the top two floors of the building (3rd & 4th floors). The room available is a decent sized ensuite with your own private bathroom on the third floor. Their is a large private rooftop with a beautiful view of the skyline. Rooftop is for our unit only so its nice and quiet with ability to personalize it and an enclosed porch right outside the backdoor.
Fourth floor is occupied by one roommate and the second bedroom on third floor is occupied by the other. Kitchen and living room are spacious with dish washer, oven/stovetop, microwave and refrigerator. Living room on third floor would mostly be used by you as the two other roommates mostly use the fourth floor living room. There is a large leather couch in the third floor living room but otherwise a bit bare. We split internet, gas and electric utilities three ways. A cat would be okay but no dogs.
Street Parking is permit but Augusta Blvd. is directly behind the unit with free street parking. Landlords do offer a parking spot for an extra $100 a month in back of unit or in back of next door unit that they also own. Move in date and new lease would start September 1st, could possibly move in sooner and sublet from the roommate leaving earlier but would want to have the new lease signed before that happens.
About the roomies
You’d be moving in to the third bedroom sharing the space with myself (Jon 30) and one other roommate (Fred 32). We have been friends for a little over a decade. We are both friendly and respectful most of our shared time is spent playing old video games and watching sports.
I work full time so I’m out of the house most weekdays and on the weekends I’m mostly home. Fred also works and has a more in flux schedule but is out of the house most nights and weekends.
We both partake in cannabis you don’t have to but we ask that you’re okay with it. My cat is friendly but anti social so you won’t see her much. We’re not big drinkers or partiers if we have guests over it’s usually only a couple people at a time to watch major sporting events or just tame hangouts. We stick mostly to the upstairs living room so the downstairs living room is definitely looking to be spruced up a bit if you want to make it a bit more of your own. I have a private balcony attached to my room so the rooftop is only used seldomly. I like to cook and bake and keep a garden plus an array of houseplants. We are pretty social people that can make friends with most but also understand the importance of privacy and having your own spaces.
