One bedroom in large multi-generational home in College Village. We are looking for a person to share our home and responsibilities for the care of my 90-year-old father. We are open to discuss flexible rent or a work trade. This is a great opportunity for a student, retiree, or PT worker.

The room is furnished with a queen bed, desk, and comfortable chair. Our home is 3400sf with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2 separate living areas. You would have full access to the kitchen and laundry. While all public space is shared, there’s enough room for privacy when needed.

My husband and I are active, adventurous, friendly people and we’re experienced and comfortable sharing our home. We’ve got a lot of outdoor gear. We can help set you up for your own explorations of the great Alaskan outdoors.

We are both social and enjoy good conversations and getting together with friends, but we also appreciate our down time.

We love good food and prefer healthy and nutritious ingredients. We have very few sugared drinks or junk food in the house.

My dad is 90 and has dementia. He has low verbal skills but he’s good with gestures, very sweet, and still mobile. He’s mostly independent but he likes to be where the people are and is happy to sit quietly while life bustles on around him.

We have two low energy furry companions- one dog and one cat.

Our two children (early 20’s) live outside our home. But our son is at University in Fairbanks and will return home for the holidays.
