We are opening up a private, bright bedroom in our spacious home. While the room is your private space, you will have full, unrestricted access to all household amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, family/living rooms, laundry room (washer/dryer included), a large backyard, and dedicated play spaces for children. The room has an adjoining bathroom with two sinks, a shower, and a tub.

The Area & Location: Our home is located in a quiet, safe suburban neighborhood in the Tri-Valley area, with quick and easy access to both the 580 and 680 freeways. We are just a few miles away from a major outlet mall. A grocery store, coffee shops, and restaurants are all within easy walking distance.

Parks & Nature: We are located directly across the street from a large, beautiful public park with fantastic playgrounds, and a scenic nature trail is nearby for weekend walks.

Why the rent is subsidized: We know $600/month (with all utilities and high-speed Wi-Fi fully included) looks too good to be true. Here is our honest “why”: we own our home outright and do not care about making a profit from this rental. Instead, we are looking for the right culture fit - someone who will help out around the house, or occasionally babysit when we go out to dinner. Because we value a collaborative household dynamic far more than rental income, we are keeping the rent highly accessible to find the right match.

Who Lives Here: We are an active married couple living with our two young children: a 4-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy. We love a joyful, bustling, family-centered household and value open communication, kindness, and mutual respect. We also have a small dog.

Our Vibe & Routine: Our home runs on the predictable chaos of toddler and preschool life! A typical week for us involves frequent trips to the park, early bedtimes, and plenty of play.

The Ideal Match: Because this is a deeply shared space with our family, a female roommate is required. Our ideal match is someone who genuinely thrives in a kid-friendly environment and wants an integrated, collaborative household dynamic. Other parents are welcome - our neighborhood is a great place for kids.
