This is a medium-sized room in a fairly big old house. It has a solid-sized backyard and ample parking and two windows and a closet. The house has several common areas. There is a big open living room space. There is a den with a couch, a television, and a bar. There is a laundry room, although the dryer just seems to have broken. The backyard is wonderful. There is a sizable garage for storage. It’s never been full, and now that a bunch of people are moving out, there’s a bunch of space in the garage, which is also used as another common area with a couch, a speaker system, and stuff like that in there. There is a ton of parking, which is the reason I moved into it. There is trash pickup in the back alley, which means you never have to take out the trash cans. They’re always in the back and they are handled pretty well. Gardeners come in once or twice a week. The kitchen is its own room, and it seems like it’s been rebuilt at some point because it feels like a fairly modern kitchen with a dishwasher and ample (a lot of) cabinet space and a refrigerator. There’s also a refrigerator in the garage. The bedroom, in addition to having a closet, comes with a storage closet outside of the room in the hallway, and I’m pretty happy with it. Moving because initially, I moved here after my house burned down in the fires, and now I have an opportunity to live with friends, and so I’m taking that opportunity. Personally, if you don’t mind a house that’s a little bit old, which never bothered me, it’s fantastic. It’s right near the park, close to a bunch of gyms, and it’s a really wonderful neighborhood. They have huge block parties on Halloween!
There is a shuffle of roommates going on right now, so a few people are moving in and out. Most of us 20s-30 are filmmakers who work in entertainment with a couple of other things going on. I’ve worked in production for a long time and now work with toy companies and media companies. One of the guys is a drone pilot, one of the guys is an editor and cinematographer, and one of the guys is a car dealer, and one of the other guys is an editor. I’d say, generally, the people are friendly, but for the most part they have busy schedules, so they keep to themselves most evenings and are out of the house pretty often.
