Hi there! My current roommates are looking for someone to take over a room in our 3 bed, 1 bath apartment in Northampton beginning August 1. We are hoping to transfer my portion of the lease to that person, which runs through July 2027.

About the apartment: This is a 3 bed, 1 bath, 2 story apartment in a duplex, about a 10 minute walk from downtown Northampton. The apartment has a gorgeous screened in porch, off street and free on street parking, a shared backyard with the other unit in the duplex, and a newly renovated kitchen and brand new in-unit washer dryer. The room available is on the first floor. The room is on the first floor, right off of the living space. It has a good sized closet and can easily fit a queen size bed.

Rent is $865 a month per person. Utilities (gas, electric, wifi and trash) run about $35-120 per person, with the most expensive months in the winter.

The apartment has one friendly dog, and the unit is not wheelchair accessible.

Hi! My name is Lauren (she/her) and I’m one of the current tenants, whose room is on the second floor. I’m 25 and a speech language pathologist at a hospital in the area. In my free time, I love thrifting, crafting, rock climbing, and spending time with my dog (the above-mentioned friendly dog 🐶)! Ygritte (pronounced like the bird, Egret) is a 3 year old, medium mixed breed, who loves people, playing, food, and cuddles. She has access to the whole apartment, but stays out of areas with closed doors (aka, people’s rooms). If you have any specific questions about her and/or her role in the house, I’m happy to discuss!

Hi, I’m Maya (she/her) and I am the other current tenant. I’m 25 and I work as a nanny and I am very social and love to be outdoors! I do a lot of sewing and knitting and some baking (always happy to share what I make!) I just moved in a month ago and am loving living here with Lauren and Ygritte.

We would appreciate a roommate who identifies as either female or non-binary. Ideally, they would also be a young professional or individual pursing continued education. We both work Monday-Friday, and the apartment is quiet by 9/9:30 each week night. Also, like most, we’d like someone who is generally clean in shared spaces and will equally split household chores.
