About the room
This apartment is a ~10 minute walk from a grocery store and a ~10 minute walk to the near side of campus. It is right next-door to Chintimini Park and often has volleyball players playing outside the windows in the summer. The room is park-facing, and about 9 ft by 10.5 ft with a closet. It is plush carpeted and does not have a popcorn ceiling which is a miracle considering the age of the building 😉. It is a second floor unit, but does have two entrances, so that is good for fire safety. Both by the kitchen, so not entirely practical in that regard, but it is the thought that counts. The rest of the apartment is furnished, but not the room to rent. The apartment does not permit pets, which is probably for the best. Dogs make me nervous, but it is hard to turn them away when they are so cute. LGBTQIA+ friendly is a must. Renters will need to be approved by the property manager (they will choose the background check method), in addition to passing whatever vibe check my social skills grant me. Message me if you wish to see the room.
Sorry for the lack of pictures. Everything is still a bit of a mess while I move stuff out of the room (I was using it as an office). More pics in the next few days.
About the roomies
I (f26) will be the only roommate. I am a graduate student at OSU and plan to graduate in December. At this time, I may seek to move out leaving you (potential roommate) to take over the lease, or receive a new roommate depending on your preferences. As for myself, I am pretty quiet and not very socially active. In addition to my graduate work, I do a lot of at-home mechatronics and play some games. I am not particularly cleanly, but aspire to be better, and would likely institute a chore chart. In addition, to maintain optimal levels of cooperation as roommates, I would like to introduce mandatory social bonding time. A movie night, a game night, or even just eating dinner together sometimes. Otherwise I will hide in my room and give you grumpy looks whenever we run into each-other in the apartment, and no one wants that. I do not smoke or drink, and while I have no problem with drinking, I would prefer smoking or vaping not be done in my presence, as I am very judgy (see the aforementioned grumpy looks section). I do not do well with surprise guests 😔, so I would like notice before any guests or visitors come over. Each time they come over. This gives me time to hide in my room and prepare the grumpy looks. I will, of course, grant you the same courtesy, and am open to a stricter visitor pre-approval policy instead of just notification if you would prefer.
