We are looking for someone to rent one room in our three-bed, one-bath home in West Medford (right on the Somerville line and close to Tufts) starting September 1! Rent is $1,000, not including utilities, and we have a tandem parking spot in the driveway available. We are a pet-free and non-smoking house.

The bedroom is 185 sqft. with two windows (lots of sun), space for a desk and/or dresser, as well as a big closet!

There is one spacious bathroom, free basement laundry, a kitchen with a dishwasher and a disposal, loads of common spaces, cozy reading nooks, a backyard, and ample storage space.

We call the house the fairy house, and it is a dream home in a peaceful neighborhood with great access to public transit and parking. We are privately managed by our landlord, and this is his only property. He is responsive and friendly!

We are on a June lease cycle, and the landlord will write out a contract for the new tenant since they will be signing on for September.

We are right next to multiple bus routes that will take you directly to the green, red, and orange lines in 15 minutes or less. The West Medford commuter rail stop on the Lowell line is a 2-minute walk away, and trains go into North Station every hour or two.

There’s a small downtown area with all the necessities-Walgreens, Dunkin, an awesome bagel shop, a brewery, an ice cream shop, and more. We’re also a 7-minute walk from Whole Foods, and other grocery stores are at a drivable distance.

My name is Iz (27, they/she) and I’m a marketing coordinator at an arts non-profit. I have celiac disease and eat gluten-free, so we have some kitchen protocols in place (separate cutting boards, different sponges, that type of thing).

Rewena (26, she/her) is an operations manager at an architecture design-build firm.

We like to hang out with each other when our schedules align, and we also value our personal space/need for alone time.
