About the room
Nestled right in the heart of Capitol Hill, this room is cozy yet large for the area, with double connected closets providing plenty of storage and a 6 foot tall window allowing lots of natural light. The room sits towards the interior of the building and so stays pretty quiet, with minimal street noise.
The building maintains its original exterior architecture as an old row home converted to a small apartment building. The unit is on the entry floor, requiring no walk up. The building has security and can be accessed through a code to enter, which can also be controlled from an app on your phone to let in delivery drivers, etc. The building was recently renovated, and so houses mostly young professionals in the start of their careers. Utilities are fixed and included in rent.
Just steps from the Capitol South metro stop, the building is minutes away (literally like a 5 minute walk) from the Capitol, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the Botanic Gardens, and the National Mall. It is directly across the street from two parks and surrounded by tons of restaurant and cafe options. The building is about a 7 minute walk to Eastern Market, with a weekly farmer’s market, a Trader Joe’s, and many restaurants and bars.
About the roomies
Hey! I’m McKinley, and I’m looking for a roommate! I graduated in 2025 and recently started my career in DC. I’m pretty outgoing, love making new friends, and am usually down to explore the city and grab dinner. I keep a clean and tidy home and enjoy reading, crafting, and watching TV on my couch. I also love music and regularly attend concerts in the area. I don’t have any pets, but I love cats! I love the National Gallery and I’ve been known to enjoy a night out at As You Are.
I’m looking for a roommate who is friendly, communicative, and that I can get to know. If you’re interested, send me a message, and let’s go grab coffee!
