The available room is a bright, comfortable second-story bedroom with beautiful hardwood floors, plenty of natural light, and a view overlooking the backyard. It has a pretty large closet with shelving on one side and currently includes a full sized bed, nightstand, and hamper but I’m happy to remove or swap out the furniture if you have your own or you can select from furniture in another unoccupied room. I’ll only rent out one room.

One of the perks is that you’ll also have your own furnished upstairs living area with a loveseat, beanbag, and TV, a great space to relax and unwind.

The upstairs bathroom is primarily all yours. My adult son or daughter visits occasionally and may use it while here, but otherwise it will be your private bathroom. I can have them shower in my bathroom and use downstairs half bath if it’d bother you.

You’ll also have your own dedicated parking spot in the driveway.

I’m a 50-year-old professional who works full-time at a local credit union. It’s just me and my older, lovable cat at home, my kids are grown and have homes of their own.

I enjoy spending time outdoors paddling in the summer and camping the the winter, so my garage is full of camping gear. I also tackle my own home repairs, so there are plenty of power tools and lawn care equipment out there too.

I keep a relatively clean, comfortable home, though I’m not obsessive about it and leave items on counters and the table at times. Also, if I’m tired after cooking, I might leave a few pots and pans in the sink. Otherwise, I keep shared spaces neat and respectful. The kitchen is well-stocked, has a great newer dishwasher and new frig, and I genuinely enjoy cooking. I’d be happy to share a meal now and then as I miss cooking for other people.

Most evenings after dinner, you’ll find me relaxing in the media room watching TV. You’re always welcome to join me if you’d like some company, but you’ll also have your own private space if you prefer to unwind on your own and watch your own shows and a living area with a TV.

I’m looking for someone who is considerate, communicative, and generally respectful of shared spaces. It’s ok if your room is messy of you don’t spill on or scratch the hardwood floors. If that sounds like you, I think we’d make great roommates.
