About the room
This is a private room in a 2-bedroom apartment at Westville Village in New Haven, available around the end of July for a 12-month lease. The room will be furnished with a single bed frame, desk, monitor, and chair. Please note that the mattress is not included unless discussed separately.
The shared living room/common area will also be furnished with items I already have, including a sofa, TV, and basic living room furniture. Some of the listing photos are model-unit photos from the apartment/building because the specific unit is currently undergoing cleaning after the previous tenant’s move-out. I have also shared photos of the actual furniture that will be used in the space. A tour of the apartment can be scheduled if needed.
The apartment has central air conditioning, in-unit laundry, a dishwasher, elevator access, and access to building amenities such as covered parking, clubhouse/common areas, grilling/picnic areas, gated electronic entrance, dog park, and a 24/7 fitness center. The building is pet-friendly, and I have a goofy golden retriever, so I’m looking for someone who is comfortable living with a dog.
The room is $1,075/month. There is a $1,075 deposit required, which is refundable after the lease ends/move-out according to lease terms. There is also a one-time non-refundable amenity fee of $150. Utilities include electricity, gas, water, and Wi-Fi and are approximately $150/month (per person), varying by usage. Parking is optional and can be added for an additional $60/month if needed.
Looking for someone responsible, clean in shared spaces, and communicative.
About the roomies
Hey there! I’m Pragathi, a web designer and developer at Wesleyan University. I’m originally from India and studied in Texas before moving to New Haven. I work from home, and in my free time I love trying new recipes, biking around New Haven — I’ve probably biked almost everywhere by now — and spending time with my dog.
I’m looking for a roommate who is responsible, communicative, clean in shared spaces, and comfortable living with a dog. I’d love for the apartment to feel like a home where we can both relax, respect each other’s space, and get along well.
If you think we could be great roommates, don’t hesitate to reach out!
