The room is available September 1st, however the room is currently empty so I do think the landlord could get you in ASAP if you needed. The room itself is about 11 x 11 ft, and is at the back of the building away from the road, with windows facing toward our back porch. It has it’s own closet.
Rent is $3500 per month split three ways (1166), there’s required renter’s insurance of $45.95 monthly through the property management company (so about 1212 monthly total) and utilities (gas, electric, and internet) fluctuate between $70 – $150 per person depending on the time of year. We have a dishwasher, and also free laundry and storage space in the basement. There’s off-street parking that might be available, but that would cost extra, which you would have to hash out with the landlord. We just park on the street.

My roommate and I are looking for a third person to join us in our 3 bed 1 bath apartment, which is a 5 minute walk from Davis Square. I am a 39 year old bookstore manager, and the other roommate is an early-20s guy currently working in the Boston area. We both have friends over here and there, but for the most part we’re pretty uneventful. I read a lot and the other guy does something in his room a lot, nothing nefarious I don’t think. We keep the common spaces clear of our junk. It’s pretty okay. Completely unexceptional. Totally average. If you happen to be interested in history or literature and aren’t a murderer, that’s a plus for me.
