Mary's room
About the room
Step inside and the first thing you notice is how separate it feels properly separate, not just a room behind a thin wall. Private bathroom, independent layout, your own rhythm undisturbed. Outside, the neighborhood has that settled, residential quality that people spend years searching for. And yet the malls are close. The bus routes are convenient. It shouldn’t work as well as it does, but somehow everything lines up just right here.
About the roomies
The two of us have lived here long enough to know this house suits us a forensic toxicologist and a secondary school counsellor, each with our own room and a natural tendency toward keeping things calm and uncluttered. We’re present when we’re home but not intrusive, and the household reflects that. Someone who reads that and thinks “yes, that’s me too” is exactly the kind of housemate we’d be glad to have around.
